Ras Al Khaimah explores trade, investment ties with Guatemala
The Ras Al Khaimah Chamber of Commerce recently explored ways to strengthen cooperation with the Republic of Guatemala across various sectors, with a particular focus on tourism, investment opportunities, and initiatives to boost trade exchange. Discussions also emphasized enhancing communication and coordination between the business communities of Ras Al Khaimah and Guatemala, as well as promoting participation in international events and exhibitions organized by both sides.
The meeting was attended by Mohammed Musabbeh Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Ras Al Khaimah Chamber of Commerce, and Jorge Rafael Archila Ruiz, Ambassador of Guatemala to the UAE, along with Embassy Counsellor Jose Basila. Dr. Ahmed Al Shemeili, Director-General of the Ras Al Khaimah Chamber, was also present.
Key topics of discussion included exploring investment opportunities in the tourism sector, leveraging the advantages offered by Ras Al Khaimah, and fostering greater interest among businessmen and investment companies from both regions for joint projects in sectors such as infrastructure, manufacturing, real estate, and tourism.
Both sides highlighted opportunities to enhance cooperation between companies and businessmen, emphasizing the incentives and facilities provided by Ras Al Khaimah. The Chamber of Commerce’s role in strengthening communication with local companies and facilitating the establishment of new businesses was also discussed. Additionally, the importance of increasing participation in trade and industrial exhibitions held in both Ras Al Khaimah and Guatemala was underscored.
Al Nuaimi reiterated the Chamber’s commitment to enhancing cooperation between business communities in various sectors and connecting them with their counterparts in different countries, including Guatemala. He emphasized the importance of exploring international investment opportunities, particularly in the tourism sector, which offers significant potential for collaboration between companies and businessmen in Ras Al Khaimah and Guatemala.
Ambassador Ruiz praised Ras Al Khaimah’s prominent position in sectors such as tourism and real estate development, which he noted stimulate cooperation and increase investment opportunities. He also highlighted the potential for expanding collaboration between the private sector and investment institutions in Guatemala and Ras Al Khaimah.
